Job Overview: As a Dishwasher & Prep Cook at [Restaurant Name], you will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen while assisting in preparing ingredients for our signature Italian dishes. Key Responsibilities:
Dishwashing:
- Wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment to ensure cleanliness and sanitation.
- Maintain the dishwashing area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
- Properly dispose of waste and recycling.
- Assist in keeping the kitchen tidy by cleaning counters, floors, and storage areas.
- Ensure the kitchen has a steady supply of clean plates, glassware, and utensils at all times.
Prep Cook:
- Assist the chefs by preparing ingredients such as chopping vegetables, prepping proteins, and measuring out ingredients for daily specials and regular menu items.
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with health and safety standards.
- Maintain proper food storage and labeling.
- Assist in assembling and garnishing dishes according to recipe specifications.
- Help with inventory management and ingredient restocking.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a kitchen environment, preferably in a similar role (dishwashing and prep cooking).
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
