About the Job
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including specialty Italian cocktails, wines, and classic drinks.
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including keeping the bar stocked with necessary supplies and ensuring proper glassware.
- Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner, taking drink orders and offering recommendations based on the menu.
- Ensure responsible alcohol service by monitoring guest consumption and adhering to legal and company standards.
- Prepare and garnish drinks, ensuring consistency in presentation and quality.
- Collaborate with the kitchen and service staff to ensure timely and accurate orders.
- Process guest payments accurately using the POS system and handle cash responsibly.
- Assist in managing inventory, ordering supplies, and ensuring stock levels are maintained.
- Maintain knowledge of menu offerings, including wines and spirits, to assist guests in making informed choices.
- Provide excellent customer service to create a memorable experience for guests.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including cleanliness and sanitation standards.
- Work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a bartender in a casual dining or bar environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of Italian wines, cocktails, and spirits is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy environment.
- Must be of legal drinking age and have or be willing to obtain necessary certifications (e.g., bartending license, alcohol server training).
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs. and stand for long periods of time.
- A passion for Italian cuisine and beverage culture is a plus.
